Good Luck Bean !!
Farewell Bean
Published on 27 February 2024

The 24th of October was the last official day of Bean being with us at the BlueHouses as he moves on to an exciting new role with MACS, working with people aged 16-25 and there will be no doubt he will help them achieve their vision to “Make Life Great for Children & Young People”.
Bean has been with us here at the BlueHouses full time since 2014 and also in a volunteer role prior to that. As well as being a great friend and colleague to all the staff and volunteers he has brought a lot to the table, or should I say BlueHouses and the Ballysillan community…..
🔹The sarcasm and banter – few lads been on the end of this when they have tried to dish out the grief!
🔹Knowledge about pretty much everything under the sun!
🔹Gadgets (some great, some not so much lol!)
🔹A bouncer vibe – no chance of sneaking in when Bean was on the door!
🔹Brilliant games ideas and challenges
🔹The football camp master, not forgetting the awesome football camp warm ups!
🔹Kindness and generosity through gifts and presents (the Christmas king – ginger Santa!)
🔹An ability to deal with crisis scenarios – sure there are never any in Ballysillan!
🔹Togetherness and a desire to build family and team
🔹Hospitality – opening your home and family to many, including an incredible devotion to Grace as she walked through her cancer journey. Special 💙
We are forever thankful for the heart and compassion God has given you, the warmth you carry, the desire to serve others, how you see others, how you take care of them and how you walk beside them 😊
Here at the BlueHouses we are so glad, in your own words to “take a punt on you and give you an opportunity”
Thank you for carrying the presence of Jesus and being Jesus to the people of Ballysillan 🙏🏼
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
Psalm 145v8-9
